Barnaby Weir (1978 –)

Painted by his friend Freeman White, Weir, son of National Radio broadcaster Dick Weir, has played a formative role in some of New Zealand’s most successful music releases in recent years.
He co-founded the eight-piece reggae/dub band The Black Seeds, which regularly tours New Zealand, Europe and North America. Weir’s latest accolade has been in the 2010 New Zealand Music Awards, where he was a finalist in the MAINZ Best Producer, along with Lee Prebble, for A Story (Fly My Pretties).
