John Buck

From his early days as owner of a small wine shop and, in 1969, as a member of the National Tasting Panel to owning one of the country’s well-known vineyards and international wine judge, John Buck has played a leading role the New Zealand wine industry. Awards from the wine industry recognise his contributions. But Buck’s interest in the arts has meant he has also developed the Te Mata Estate poet laureate programme and he now chairs the Hawkes Bay Opera House.
