I warrant that I have obtained the appropriate permissions either from the person(s) featured in their submitted portrait, or consent from whanau or descendants.

I warrant that I have obtained appropriate releases from any copyright holders or customary owner(s) of intellectual property used as source material in the creation of the work.

I agree that my work may be exhibited at any venue organised by the Gallery and that the portrait will be available for a period of up to 24 months, should the work be selected to tour.

I acknowledge and accept that the Gallery’s tikanga, developed in consultation with mana whenua and the Kiingitanga is to allow food and drink to be served in the exhibition space after tāonga on display have been appropriately blessed and tapu lifted.

I agree that the Gallery and exhibition sponsor(s) shall have the right of free reproduction of all exhibited artworks for sales/publicity/educational and reference purposes in connection with the Award.

If offered for sale, I warrant that the work is mine to sell and agree to accept the price specified at the time of submission of the work (less Gallery commission).

I acknowledge that ownership and of the winning portrait will be transferred to the collection of the Kiingitanga Sovereign to be kept in perpetuity.
